Infuse what you do with the human spirit — passion, love, joy, fun. ~ Anna Halprin

As we step into the New Year, we dedicate time and space to renew our sense of aliveness.

Working with Anna Halprin’s integrative approach, Movement Ritual & Dance Explorations, we tune in to physical sensations, find support, and connect to a sense of wholeness.

In our 2-hour sessions, we’ll explore moving with the “red spot,” Anna Halprin’s term for the body’s creative vitality. Dances include being on the ground, standing, and interacting with the environment. Playing with tempo, space, and force, we’ll activate our expressive bodies, images, and feelings. We’ll release unnecessary tension and remember to move with awareness, curiosity, and joy.

To get the most out of this online series: Please prepare a comfortable space to move in with access to your online device. Also, have art supplies ready at hand for drawing activities, and paper and pen for journaling and creative writing exercises.

Please note: Tamalpa does not record nor permit the recording of any workshops due to the sensitive and sometimes vulnerable nature of the work, and to protect participant privacy.
