Twilight of the Empress recounts the epic stories of ancient Persian gods and goddesses from a Sufi perspective through dance, music, storytelling and film. A convergence of 3 artists and a mythologist — Banafsheh Sayyad, Fared Shafinury, Shila Ommi, Maryam Sayyad and a cast of stellar of dancers and musicians — Twilight of the Empress depicts the eternal battle between light and darkness, as mirrored in the world and within ourselves, taking us on an inner journey where we can begin to witness, understand, and ultimately heal ourselves and our polarized world.
