It’s time for your Authentic Movement Retreat: Deepening the Practice with Susan Bauer in Berkeley, May 23rd!

Give yourself the gift of this time to settle within, and discover more about yourself as you listen and follow your own movement.

This retreat is designed as a ‘landing pad’ from the outer distractions that often draw our attention, allowing you to connect more deeply to your inner source of energy and creativity.

While life moves along, we often neglect this inner realm of personal wisdom. This day provides those with previous experience in Authentic Movement a time to re-connect within to deepen your practice as a mover.

In this time together, we will practice basics of the form of Authentic Movement. This simple, eyes-closed practice allows you to move with both mindful awareness and a spontaneous responsiveness to your own inner impulses for movement and / or stillness–while the witness holds the space of compassionate support.

We will begin with a brief review of the form of Authentic Movement, followed by time to engage in the practice. You will have an opportunity to move, with time afterward for processing on your own (through writing, drawing, or resting) before our speaking circle.

This retreat is open to those with previous experience and an ability to maintain your inner witness. Witness feedback for each mover will be shared by me throughout the day as appropriate; please note you will not be providing verbal witness feedback to others, so you can maintain focus on your own practice.

Also be sure to be in touch with Susan to join her newsletter to find out about similar retreats coming up soon–both in person and online–and to learn more about the Authentic Movement Training coming in 2026.

Please note! As of press time, this workshop is nearly full so please apply soon if interested or to be put on the waiting list.
