Ecstatic Dance Festival – February 20–22, 2026 in Freiburg

From February 20 to 22, 2026, we open the doors of the Freie Waldorfschule Freiburg-Rieselfeld for our Ecstatic Dance Winter Festival.

Expect a weekend dedicated to free dance, authentic encounters, and inner alignment – carried by music, movement, mindfulness, and a spirit of openness.
As in previous festivals, a magical field unfolds in which we flow through the weekend together – full of lightness, depth, and connection.

Our focus is on bringing people together – the open dance community invites you to arrive in a mindful atmosphere.

The large sports hall offers plenty of space for dance and movement.
A beautiful hall with a wooden floor invites you to circles and workshops, while the eurythmy hall is perfect for gentle bodywork and quieter moments.

We will spend the entire weekend together on site – a wonderful opportunity to dive deeper into the shared field.

 For Children & Families

Dedicated children’s room with play & creative materials.
Childcare during workshops and during the evening Ecstatic Dances.

 Food

Our lovely kitchen team provides vegetarian, organic full catering
(5 meals + tea & filtered water) for a package price of €50.
Vegan or gluten-free options are available, self-catering as well.

You can book and pay for your meals a few weeks before the event directly with the kitchen team.

With your own sleeping mat & sleeping bag

 Tickets

This time we’re trying out ticket booking via an online ticket shop for the first time.
Ticket prices remain the same as at the Autumn Festival – there will only be a small service fee (2–7 €) from the ticket provider.

Prices vary depending on when you book.
Since we need to plan ahead, we appreciate early bookings. (The average price equals that of the Autumn Festival.)
Prices will slowly increase – cheaper now, regular price from mid-December.

Standard Ticket: €140–160
Ticket incl. Accommodation: €160–180
Supporter Ticket: €200 (to support others)
Children’s Tickets: Ages 6–10 €50 · Ages 11–17 €65 · under 6 free

If you can’t attend, you can pass your ticket on to someone else.
If we have to cancel the event, you’ll of course receive a full refund.

 Helpers

A few helper spots (e.g. kitchen, kids space, teardown) are available.
For up to 4 hours of contribution, you’ll receive a €60 discount – first come, first served.

We’re really looking forward to a flowy, warm, and connecting winter weekend – together with you and a growing community of dancers from all over Europe.

We are an open and natural Ecstatic Dance community.
