Kelsay Elizabeth MyersEvent MemberMy name is Kelsay Elizabeth Myers, MFA, RSME, and I’m a published author, Certified Transformational Coach and Expressive Arts Practitioner and Registered Somatic Movement Educator living in Marin County, CA. My work focuses on uncovering deeper layers of the self, redefining the roots and foundation of each individual’s own self-expression, and recapturing their creative life for inner healing and wholeness. I help people experience safety within themselves, increase their capacity to feel and experience more in life, and live easefully with less overwhelm, stress and anxiety, so they are free to express who they are in the world, go after their dreams and expand what they think is possible.
As Founder of Dialogical Persona Healing Arts, I offer cutting edge transformational programs that help people to dance, define and dream their future, so they can have more confidence, trust and personal power in life. I won Pacific Sun’s Best Life Coach award in the 2024 “Best of Marin County, CA” special feature, the Larkspur Business Person of the Year in 2024 on Alignable and was also a 2024 Emerging Scholar Award recipient from The Arts in Society Research Network, among other awards for entrepreneurship, creativity in mental health and leadership.
My path has been to embody myself, to truly accept what arises within me and express it, so I can serve others. I look at myself, others and the world and try to create something beautiful from the composition, and sometimes, from the wreckage. As a Korean adoptee, I’ve spent my entire life uncovering more and more layers and facets of who I am. Among my many facets: I am a woman, a lesbian, a millennial, a writer, a mixed media artist, a dreamer and a trauma specialist who works along the edges of the mythic self, trauma resolution and compassionate change. I don’t know if it’s the peculiar way trauma shapes a quest for understanding, meaning and questioning, my own personality, or my innate love of learning, but I wasn’t content to live my life as I had been or to accept that change and transformation wasn’t possible.
One of the greatest gifts I received from expressive arts has been the mirroring, reflection and integration of my whole self. I want more people who experience trauma, disconnection and fragmentation or what I call “shards of the self” to receive the gifts of wholeness and trust. In a society that tries to tear down what is most precious about us through trauma, loss, neglect, disconnection or whatever experiences you encounter that take you away from your own sense of self, I help to restore you in mind, body, heart and spirit.
I’m currently offering a FREE monthly online workshop series called Embodying Stories to guide people into new resources and help transform old stories into sacred ones that shape a future we want to belong to. I would love to see you there!
