The Way of the Dancer
After an incredible workshop last year, we are super excited to welcome Christian back to Lisbon for another deep dance immersion.
The Way of the Dancer is an invitation to explore the fundamentals of conscious dance and deepen into movement as meditation practice.
It ignites joy, brings medicine into the cells of our being, and helps us metabolise what we’re living through. On the dancefloor we remember who we are and what we offer to the world.
What is it to be a dancer?
To really dance, feel the music, and open to the vast experience of body-spirit consciousness?
How do we do that — on the dancefloor and in our everyday lives?

The Way of the Dancer is an invitation to dance deep and explore ecstatic movement as a meditation practice for our times.
We will learn core practices from 5Rhythms and Movement Medicine, exploring how they help and inspire us to connect:
• with ourselves
• with each other
• with community
• and with the wider field of life.

We will move through a dancing ceremony to give thanks for life.
Who is a dancer?
Anybody and everybody. We all move. We all live in bodies capable of extraordinary things. Everyone is a dancer, and if we’re paying attention, all of life is a dance.

Immersions are a way to dive deep into the dance.
They give time for experiential study of movement as meditation practice.
They create space for the natural healing and creative process that unfolds on the dancefloor.
And they ignite the possibility of surrendering to the ecstatic experience that is dancing for long periods of time.

We dance solo.
We move with each other.
We explore as a group.

All bodies welcome.
